Ambulance Services

Ambulance Services have increased from 750 to 800 calls over the past four years.

The largest increases are in in “Other medical”, respiratory and cardiac conditions.
Many categories have had small decreases, possibly due to changes in classification practices.

Bucksport continues to collaborate with Orland and Verona on emergency services.

Notes:

Emergency medical ambulance services have not changed dramatically over the past four years. Some categories, such as poisoning/Overdose have declined while the catch-all “other medical” has increased. This suggests that there may not be any notable trends, but rather some changes in the classification of problems. The notable increases that deserve further tracking are respiratory and cardiac diagnoses.
