Coastal Hancock Healthy Communities is happy to announce that the position of Community Health Specialist has been filled!!

Steven Johndro (of Searsport and Holden) will be starting work with us on July 26. Steve is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington program in Community Health Education, and has experience working with the Healthy Community Coalition in Franklin County, as well as working with some our contacts at the Office of Substance Abuse. He has excellent technical skills, and was responsible for the creation of two fantastic documents of the HCC: their 2003 community health assessment, and a series of newspaper articles on mental health.

He will be providing assistance to organizations and employers on tobacco cessation and policies, as well as coordinating the One ME grant with our Healthy Hancock partners.

We are all looking forward to working with Steve, and hope that you will join me in welcoming him to the team!
